Senior Software Engineer - Mobile (React Native)

This position will necessitate full-time presence at the Palo Alto office to foster collaborative team spirit and innovative problem-solving approaches.

BitGo is seeking a Mobile Software Engineer proficient in React Native to collaborate on developing cross-platform mobile applications to enrich the BitGo user experience.

Responsibilities:

• Develop cutting-edge applications for iOS and Android platforms utilizing React Native.
• Work jointly with interdisciplinary teams to conceptualize, design, and roll out new features.
• Produce clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Ensure high performance, quality, and responsiveness in applications.
• Identify and rectify bottlenecks and resolve bugs.
• Continuously explore and implement new technologies to enhance development effectiveness.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to fostering continuous improvement culture.
• Engage with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to comprehend and refine product requirements.
• Provide mentorship to engineering peers through code reviews and sharing best practices.

Required:

• Over 6 years of hands-on experience in mobile app development using React Native.
• Proficient in JavaScript and related technologies like ES6, TypeScript.
• Comprehensive understanding of the mobile development life cycle.
• Familiarity with UI/UX standards and mobile design principles.
• Knowledge in SQL databases such as MySQL or Postgres.
• Proficiency in RESTful API design.
• Competent in unit and functional testing, and debugging.
• Experience with version control tools like Git/GitHub, CI tools, etc.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field from a reputed institution.
• Deep interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain.
• Strong aptitude in algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
• Capable of working independently in a dynamic environment.

Preferred:

• Experience in native mobile development (iOS/Android) is beneficial.
• Background in the financial industry.
• Exposure to digital wallets, clearing and settlement, lending, or trading systems.

Pay Transparency Notice: The salary range for this role typically averages between $165,000 and $210,000 USD annually, adjusted based on level and location. Equity, annual performance bonus, and comprehensive benefits are inclusive in the package.
