Senior Software Engineer, Python/Go (Applications)
Plutus is Kronos Research's analytics platform used by traders, researchers, and risk analysts. Plutus promotes a quantitative approach to multi-asset portfolio risk and investment decision-making. The platform equips investors with tools for factor-based risk analysis, investment evaluation, and portfolio construction. The primary responsibilities for this role include:
- Creating and implementing real-time dashboard systems for risk analysts to promptly receive alerts on market changes.
- Constructing investment platforms to assist traders in focusing on strategies rather than technical infrastructure concerns.
- Developing an automated fund-transferring service to enhance capital efficiency and streamline fund management processes.

As a Senior Software Engineer for Plutus, you will oversee the lifecycle of web services for the company. Your duties involve collaborating with traders and risk analysts to understand their needs, prioritizing impactful features, and driving high-quality solutions with a team of engineers. While some frontend development may be involved, experience in this area is not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Offer direction on architecture, design, and process implementation for launching solutions and features.
- Build solutions for the research and trading team to deploy, configure, and monitor real-time trading strategies.
- Work with business leaders to define priorities and deliver tailored solutions.
- Drive enhancements to the investment platform to streamline workflows and eliminate inefficiencies cross-functionally.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering expertise.
- Proficiency in Python, Golang, Java, or C++.
- Demonstrated track record in software design and development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with modern cloud infrastructure technologies like Kubernetes, Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, etc.
- Knowledge of browser UI development using Javascript, HTML, and CSS.
- Over 1 year of technical leadership experience.
- Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
