Senior Software Engineer - Risk Systems

Key Responsibilities:

• Take the lead in designing and implementing cutting-edge risk management solutions for FalconX and its clients.
• Enhance and optimize FalconX's proprietary risk management systems, auto-liquidation engine, and infrastructure to cater to institutional customers.
• Collaborate closely with multiple stakeholders within the risk team to refine and maintain the risk management stack.
• Provide mentorship to team members in supporting and improving FalconX's risk solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or relevant fields.
• 5-9 years of solid experience in software engineering, object-oriented programming, and complex distributed architectures.
• Proficiency in Python programming and a willingness to adapt to new technologies promptly.
• Strong system design capabilities and expertise in developing low-latency systems.
• Experience working with Linux/AWS environments.
• Proactive approach, assertive ownership traits, and ability to collaborate effectively across various teams.
• Background in risk management within a trading environment (e.g., hedge fund or bank).
• Familiarity with financial products and derivatives across asset classes.
• Passion for analytical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous experience in a quant risk role (minimum 2 years) is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Go programming language and Cloud Native technologies like Kubernetes and Docker is a plus.
