About the Position
We are embarking on a venture to develop a cutting-edge application that brings the capabilities of Solana's market infrastructure directly to users. This project is led by a team with vast experience in enabling billions in daily transaction value on Solana.
We are seeking a seasoned engineer to join our small but dynamic team, granting you complete ownership over this innovative product. Collaborating with top-tier designers and engineers responsible for widely-used products, you will contribute to various aspects, including backend services, real-time data pipelines, and more. Your role involves creating systems that are rapid, dependable, and secure right from the start.
If you have an understanding of the inner workings of markets on Solana and a desire to build the product interface on top of that, this position is for you.
What You'll Do
- Design and construct core systems for our novel product from the ground up.
- Develop low-latency, dependable services that directly engage with Solana's transaction and block building framework.
- Manage crucial infrastructure components such as order routing, execution, real-time market data, and position management.
- Incorporate security measures at every level, ranging from transaction authentication to safeguarding user data.
- Collaborate closely with the product and infrastructure teams to deliver promptly and adjust based on actual user feedback.
- Contribute to significant architectural choices as an early member of the team.
What We're Looking For
- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering, preferably with a focus on distributed systems.
- Proficiency in systems programming; while expertise in Rust is preferred, substantial experience in C/C++, Go, or similar languages is acceptable.
- Proven track record in creating reliable, low-latency systems for production environments.
- A security-oriented mindset that prioritizes factors like attack prevention, key management, and addressing failure scenarios before coding.
- Familiarity with Solana's runtime nuances, transaction life cycle, and market microstructure is advantageous.
- Comfortable operating independently with limited data in a ground-breaking product environment.

This role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $200,000 to $250,000, based on experience.
