Description
We seek an experienced Manager of US and Americas Tax Compliance and Tax Accounting for our Chicago office. This role involves overseeing tax compliance and accounting functions within the Crypto.com Americas region, focusing on US federal and state tax matters, Canadian tax compliance, as well as involvement in Brazilian tax affairs.
The chosen candidate will report to the Global Head of Tax in Asia and collaborate closely with the Head of Finance - US. Responsibilities will include managing all aspects of the Americas tax function and working with a team member in Chicago.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate hands-on leadership, implement tax strategies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and identify opportunities for value creation.
Responsibilities
- Oversee US federal and state tax compliance and accounting processes accurately and promptly.
- Prepare and review detailed workpapers to support income tax compliance.
- Manage quarterly US income tax provisions and deferred tax calculations in compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist in tax audit reviews with external auditors.
- Lead the tax accounting aspects of acquisitions and integration activities.
- Collaborate with the transfer pricing team on intercompany transactions.
- Take charge of special projects and process enhancements.
Requirements
- CPA certification or equivalent.
- 8+ years of experience in Big 4 public accounting or multinational corporate tax department.
- Strong knowledge of ASC740 and IFRS tax accounting and compliance.
- Experience managing complex US tax matters.
- Preferred experience in handling tax matters across multiple countries.
- Understanding of transfer pricing principles and implementation.
- Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
- Intellectual agility, problem-solving skills, and interpersonal flexibility.
- Hands-on approach with a proactive and open-minded mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects under pressure.
- Excellent written, verbal communication skills, and team collaboration abilities.
