Job overview:

We are seeking a Technical Artist to collaborate closely with our team of artists and programmers to streamline asset creation and enhance production pipelines. In this role, you will be instrumental in implementing technical art features, developing tools, optimizing workflows, and conducting tool and process debugging.

Key responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain advanced production pipelines and workflows
  • Create and improve tools to support artists in their production work
  • Collaborate with Art Leads, Technical Directors, and QA to ensure assets meet artistic and technical standards
  • Utilize the latest tools and techniques to optimize graphic workflows
  • Share best practices, provide training, and mentor colleagues on tool and method usage
  • Integrate, validate, and optimize graphic data in the engine when necessary
  • Prioritize and resolve graphic bugs while offering support to other artists
  • Generate and update comprehensive documentation related to tools, processes, and engine limitations
  • Lead QA initiatives to guarantee bug-free and releasable assets
  • Uphold Technical Art constraints to enhance visual quality and performance
  • Optimize content for peak performance on various platforms, especially in next-generation technologies

Key qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in game development, including various aspects such as Modeling & Texturing, Scripting/Tools Development, Lighting, Shaders, VFX Rendering & Post Processing, Rigging, and Animation
  • Proficient in game engines like Unreal
  • Familiarity with Source Control systems like Git, Perforce, and Mercurial
  • Strong technical understanding of art production processes and workflows with some programming knowledge
  • Knowledge of UI Development for Tools is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in 3D development tools such as 3DS Max, Maya, Blender, and Motion Builder
  • Enthusiasm for exploring and applying new technologies in game development
  • Ability to collaborate across different disciplines within the team
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage complex workflows
  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills
