Job Brief
The Mining Operations-Site Manager is a pivotal role within CleanSpark's Bitcoin mining operations. This position collaborates closely with a larger team to provide round-the-clock support for the mining centers, assisting the engineering and facilities teams in their objectives.
Responsibilities
- Manage the operation and maintenance of critical facility and physical infrastructure systems in line with company policies
- Ensure a consistent level of preparedness to achieve the goal of maximum uptime
- Handle routine and emergency service for various cutting-edge critical systems within the mining facility
- Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare comprehensive reports on critical facility operations and maintenance
- Maintain site-wide adherence to safety protocols and plans
- Supervise Mining Operations and Facilities Technicians, offering emergency responses when necessary
- Collaborate with internal leadership to coordinate projects, optimize safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency
- Oversee the management of subcontractors and vendors on-site, ensuring adherence to established practices
- Manage client relationships at the site and serve as the primary point of contact for the company

Requirements:
- Education: Completion of High School or GED Equivalent
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year technical experience in a Bitcoin mining facility, with at least 6 months in shift lead or supervisory roles
- Proficient in basic computer skills and possess a general understanding of large-scale networking, power, and the Bitcoin mining industry
- Strong leadership capabilities, effective communication skills, and the ability to work independently
- Personal characteristics: proactive, helpful, conscientious, pride in work, and a team player

Preferred Skills
Experience in developing risk models to evaluate financial exposure and the impact of potential risks on the organization
Knowledge of crypto wallets, transactions, and blockchain auditing.
Familiarity with cryptocurrency regulations, including anti-money laundering Anti-money laundering, Know your customer, and data protection laws.
Proficient with data analysis such as Python, R, Excel, or SQL to analyze complex data sets.
Ability to prepare detailed risk assessments, reports, and compliance documentation for the decision-making process
Experience using risk management software and financial tools
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in risk analysis, preferably in cryptocurrency, blockchain, or financial services.
Strong knowledge of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and the crypto regulatory landscape.
Proven experience with risk management tools and financial modeling.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to communicate complex risks and strategies in a clear, actionable way.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the crypto industry is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Additional Requirements or Expectations Specific to the Position
Certifications in risk management, blockchain technology, or related fields are a plus.
Familiarity with coding (e.g. Python) to automate data analysis and risk modeling is a bonus.
