Software Developer (CDNA)

We are looking for a skilled Software Developer to join our team dedicated to designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing software for various projects aligned with our core businesses, driven by a fast-paced and lean team approach. Your key role will involve actively contributing to the design of scalable applications, covering aspects from frontend UI to backend infrastructure.

Position Summary:

As a Software Developer for the CDNA Exchange Development group, you will be tasked with producing high-performance, low-latency software to support the exchange, reporting directly to the Technical Manager for CDNA. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing new changes, designing solutions that meet the rigorous demands of a high-volume, real-time system emphasizing performance and reliability.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain Java applications of premium quality to accommodate millions of users globally.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and fellow developers to create software solutions aligning with business needs.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug intricate Java applications, pinpointing areas for enhancement.
• Build a deployable system with fast turnaround times, using automated testing and implementing continuous integration and delivery practices.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance efficiency of software solutions.
• Create and manage technical documentation for applications and processes.
• Guarantee adherence of software solutions to industry and regulatory standards.
• Participate in code reviews, offering constructive feedback to peers.
• Stay updated on the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in the software development field.
• Resolve production issues by analyzing, documenting, and following up on them.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Java application development and maintenance.
• Proficiency in core Java, Spring Framework, and other relevant tools and frameworks.
• Familiarity with software development best practices including agile methodologies, test-driven development, and continuous integration/deployment.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Aptitude to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Knowledge of low-level networking or OS internals, particularly in Linux.
• Willingness to accept and implement superior ideas, receptive to challenges and diverse viewpoints.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of financial services regulations and compliance.
• Proficiency in SQL, database design, and optimization.
• Familiarity with FIX protocol.
• Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, Artemis/RabbitMQ).
• Understanding of DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, and K8.
