BitGo is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join its Custody Services team. This role involves contributing to the development of a custodial platform that enables businesses and customers to engage in trading, staking, and managing crypto products.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement robust APIs, libraries, and services to enhance the custodial platform's scalability and functionality.
  • Take ownership of features from inception to deployment and integration for customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to introduce new features.
  • Develop clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks and bugs.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and implement them for efficient development.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor fellow engineers through code reviews and sharing best practices.
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to refine product requirements.

Skills & Experience:

Required:

  • 2-6 years of experience in back-end and server-side development.
  • Proficiency in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
  • Strong skills in TypeScript, Node.js, Kotlin, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
  • Experience with RESTful API design, microservices, and service-oriented architectures.
  • Familiarity with testing, debugging, and version control tools.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and pivot quickly.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field.
  • Interest and understanding of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.

Preferred:

  • Experience in developing consumer-facing crypto products.
  • Demonstrated ability in building public-facing APIs in production.
  • Full-stack development experience preferably involving React.
  • Experience collaborating with clients or business partners.
  • Familiarity with digital wallets, lending, trading, and other financial systems.

Compensation:

Depending on your experience and location, the compensation for this position typically ranges from $150,000 - $180,000 USD base salary. In addition to a competitive salary, this role includes equity, an annual performance bonus, and various benefits as mentioned below.
