Role Overview

As a Software Engineer at Flipster, you will play a crucial role in supporting all data users within the organization to effectively harness data in their daily tasks. You will be responsible for managing centralized data platforms and tools to enable data-driven decision-making and problem-solving. By ensuring the accessibility, efficiency, security, and responsible handling of data systems, you will empower business partners to make informed decisions.

Location

This is a remote role with a global presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain clean, efficient, and scalable code, while staying open to learning new technologies.
• Exhibit a keen eye for data quality and possess strong data debugging skills with proficiency in SQL.
• Enhance workflow efficiencies, automate repetitive tasks, and create reusable components to boost engineering productivity.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements, showcasing adaptability.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, driving technical projects through effective communication skills.

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Have less than 3 years of professional experience or be a recent graduate.
• Demonstrate the ability to navigate managed data warehouse environments like BigQuery.
• Possess adept problem-solving skills, quick learning capabilities, and adaptability.
• Exhibit excellent software development skills and fluency in at least one modern programming language.
• Display proficiency in both Korean and English at a business level.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous hands-on industry experience in software development.
• Be self-driven, proactive with critical thinking abilities.
• Possess experience with cryptocurrency exchanges or fintech companies.
• Show familiarity with working on web-scale datasets.
• Have experience in distributed computing/MapReduce, with strong preference for Cloud/Big Data Platforms exposure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Beam, Spark).
