BitGo is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Onboarding team and aid in constructing an API-first platform for businesses and developers to launch crypto products.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable, well-abstracted, and robust APIs, libraries, and services to empower the API-first platform.
- Lead functional and scalability features from inception to deployment and integration with customers.
- Document and expose functionality to UI, third-party developers, and internal and external tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to introduce, design, and implement new features.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
- Identify and rectify bottlenecks, as well as debug and fix bugs.
- Continuously explore, assess, and implement new technologies to boost development efficiency.
- Engage in code reviews and contribute to an environment of continuous enhancement.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to comprehend and refine product requirements.
- Provide mentorship within the broader engineering team via code reviews and education on best practices.

Required:
- Minimum of 3+ years of proven backend and server-side development.
- Proficient in algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
- Strong experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and Express.
- Demonstrated expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Proficient in RESTful API design.
- Experience with microservices and service-oriented architectures.
- Skilled in unit and functional testing, as well as debugging.
- Proficiency in Git/GitHub, branching methodologies, code review tools, CI tools, etc.
- Ability to navigate swiftly and adapt in a fast-paced setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied mathematics, or related technical fields.
- Understanding and keen interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain.
Preferred:
- Experience in developing consumer-facing crypto products.
- Proven background in building public-facing APIs in production environments.
- Full-stack work capacity and familiarity with React.
- Experience collaborating with clients and business partners.
