Your mission

In the role of a Risk & Payments Specialist at Bitpanda, your primary objective is to monitor online transactions for signs of fraud, scams, and money laundering, aiming to identify and address suspicious behavior effectively. You will play a proactive role in detecting anomalies and implementing preventive measures innovatively.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough investigations of banking, credit card, and cryptocurrency transactions to identify irregularities.
  • Handle fraud and scams investigations related to online transactions, ensuring comprehensive checks are conducted.
  • Offer insights to contribute to system enhancements and process optimizations.
  • Provide operational support internally and externally within stipulated service level agreements.
  • Generate customized reports detailing the latest fraud schemes using various analytical tools.

Qualifications

  • Enthusiastic about preventing fraud, utilizing proactive approaches, and eager to drive meaningful change.
  • Previous experience in fraud prevention within a cryptocurrency or Fintech setting.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with exposure to diverse projects and stakeholders, demonstrating adaptability to varying workloads.
  • Willingness to work flexible shift patterns, including weekends.
  • Proficiency in Chainalysis, with knowledge of SQL considered a bonus.
