Challenges
We are seeking a seasoned AWS Cloud Engineer to contribute to designing, constructing, and upholding highly secure and available cloud platforms.
This role is perfect for an individual who thrives at the junction of software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps/SRE methodologies, taking charge of production systems and continually enhancing reliability, performance, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Engage as a hands-on cloud/software engineer, creating and maintaining features like Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Build and Release platforms, and Customer-facing cloud-enabled features.
- Design and implement scalable, highly secure, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS.
- Ensure compliance in high-performance production environments.
- Develop reliable, maintainable solutions by crafting clean, testable code.
- Actively contribute to planning, technical discussions, and continuous improvement endeavors.
- Establish and implement disaster recovery and business continuity procedures.
- Conduct infrastructure upgrades and updates to optimize system efficiency and minimize downtime.
Mandatory Skills
- Possess a minimum of 7 years of experience working with AWS cloud services and infrastructure.
- Hands-on expertise with AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Auto Scaling, ECS, Terraform, Serverless architectures.
- Demonstrated cloud fundamentals knowledge with deep insight into AWS best practices.
- Proficiency in software development using TypeScript, C#, Java, or equivalent languages.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, MSBuild, and Git.
- Prior exposure to working in operations-heavy environments following DevOps and SRE principles.
- Prior experience working in compliant environments (e.g., CJIS, FedRAMP, or alike).
- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Clear and confident English communication skills (both written and verbal).
Nice to Have Skills
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic, etc.
- Hands-on experience designing disaster recovery strategies for critical systems.
- Exposure to security-first architectures and cloud governance models.
- Experience supporting SaaS platforms with high availability and uptime requirements.
