Staff/Senior Software Engineer - Java (Exchange Platform - Trading Services)

Develop and maintain scalable, responsive web applications using React.

Implement backend services with a serverless architecture using AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, and other AWS cloud services.
Manage user authentication and authorization across web and mobile platforms with Amazon Cognito and IAM.
Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability while ensuring application security.
Automate and streamline operations and processes for code deployment using AWS Amplify and other CI/CD tools.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for the application code and AWS architecture.
Proactively monitor and manage AWS resources with AWS CloudWatch, responding to incidents and resolving issues as they arise.

5 + years of front-end development web and mobile app development experience using React and React Native.
Minimum of 3 years of mobile app development experience using React Native.
Proven expertise in full-stack development on AWS, particularly with Amplify, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Cognito, CloudWatch, and IAM.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and JavaScript object model.
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, and web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
Strong knowledge of serverless architecture principles and microservices patterns.
In-depth experience with state management libraries (such as Redux or MobX).
Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode, and Gradle (Android Studio, IntelliJ).
Experience with modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
Experience with automated testing suites
Ability to work within EST time zone

Job description
It is an opportunity to work on a project with a leading fintech company specializing in the investment sector. Our team operates with a structured approach, adhering to predefined workflows for interactions, task handling, and issue resolution.
Key duties:
Act as a point of contact for Tier 1 engineers in the following capacities:
Providing guidance and supervision for technical choices and problem-solving efforts
Advanced troubleshooting of issues related to Linux, Kubernetes, AWS, file systems, and virtualization
Developing technical runbooks for common issues/tasks
Manage and oversee a hybrid datacenter and cloud infrastructure designed for high availability, including:
An infrastructure comprising server hardware, Linux and Windows OS, Kubernetes, AWS services, file services, backup solutions, and virtualization
Ensuring proper monitoring, logging, capacity planning, and reporting for systems and services
Automating system setups and regular maintenance and management tasks using tools like Ansible and Terraform
Maintaining system configurations to uphold their integrity as per defined standards
Participate in Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective sessions
Handle the team’s ticket queue by prioritizing and promptly addressing a wide array of requests and trouble tickets in a 24/5 environment, escalating when necessary to Engineering and Development teams
Apply effective project management practices for requirement definition, implementation, and documentation
Assist in transitioning from Windows to Linux infrastructure
Create and update comprehensive documentation
Contribute to infrastructure-related projects
Skills and experience we need:
Extensive professional experience with the technologies listed below 4 +years
At least 4 years of experience in Linux administration within an enterprise environment (preferably RHEL/CentOS based), with a focus on monitoring and troubleshooting
Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud infrastructure management and design, including knowledge of EC2, S3, IAM, AMI, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail services.
Solid understanding of infrastructure basics such as networking, authentication, file sharing, and core services like DNS, DHCP, and DFS.
Proficiency in automation, infrastructure as code, and configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform; Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar; Jenkins).
Experience in managing code changes using source control systems like GitHub or equivalent.
Experience with Kubernetes
Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language, such as Shell, Python, PowerShell, or a similar language.
Demonstrated experience with server virtualization and consolidation technologies, specifically with VMware vSphere and ESXi Virtual Infrastructure.
English level – B2+
Nice to have:
Ansible knowledge
Basic knowledge of network switching, routing, and firewall technologies
Experience with CI/CD
Competence in handling server hardware solutions and optimizing their performance.
