Staff Software Architect

This team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of our B2C and B2B products, while also steering the development of innovative features.

Your primary role will revolve around enhancing Ledger Vault through practical, hands-on involvement, offering critical support to engineering teams, and driving technological advancements within our stack. You will collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams in envisioning and implementing new features, proactively addressing technical debt, and championing best engineering practices.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate deep technical expertise in Ledger Vault, providing frontline assistance to engineering teams.
• Support product and engineering ventures in concept development and design phases.
• Spearhead tech initiatives to refine our stack, mitigate technical liabilities, and ensure engineering best practices.
• Act as a subject matter expert, lending hands-on guidance to engineering squads on pivotal topics.
• Lead explorations of innovative terrain, focusing on applicable Ledger solutions.

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in technical design, development, testing, and delivery.
• Proficiency in back-end and algorithm development across various technological realms (e.g., blockchain, low-level device interaction).
• Skilled in web back-end stacks like Python and node.js, along with multiple application development frameworks.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams in goal setting, project planning, and deliverables.
• Strong team player, possessing excellent interpersonal skills for seamless cross-functional cooperation.
• Exceptional presentation and written communication skills, supported by an engineering degree.

Preferred Skills:

• Track record in open-source platforms or contributions and experience in Embedded Software development.
• Proficiency in additional Ledger backend stacks and languages like Python, Scala, and related frameworks.
• Familiarity with HSMs, functional programming languages such as Scala, GraphQL, and a background in cryptography and security practices.
• Enthusiasm for understanding the mechanics of blockchain at a deep level and unraveling complex systems.
