Staff Software Engineer - Backend (f/m)

The Cloud Wallet team is responsible for developing and maintaining backend services that support crypto wallets used in both B2B and B2C products. Collaborating closely with other backend teams, such as the Backend Blockchain team, the Cloud Wallet team is composed of passionate engineers who advocate for functional programming to create robust and scalable platforms and APIs.
Scala is extensively used in building backend services, in addition to TypeScript/node.js in their tech stack. The Cloud Wallet team is committed to building highly efficient services to drive Ledger's products, utilizing functional programming with Scala and the Typelevel stack. Key responsibilities of this role include delving into cryptocurrency protocols, optimizing service performance, ensuring high software quality, designing monitoring systems, and utilizing CI/CD workflows for deployments.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in backend services programming, with a willingness to work in a diverse technological environment. Familiarity with relational databases, SQL, Linux OS, continuous integration/deployment solutions, containerization, and cloud deployments is desired. An interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology, along with a collaborative mindset towards teamwork, learning, and teaching, is advantageous for this role.
