BitGo is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the Staking team. The team is focused on constructing resilient and scalable systems for integrating blockchains, ensuring secure custody and staking of significant funds. Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

  • Take charge or play a substantial role in sizable, multi-person initiatives spanning engineering teams.
  • Provide comprehensive technical guidance across various domains and initiatives.
  • Set and drive the long-term technical direction for the team.
  • Known for offering high-quality technical contributions and feedback on technical designs.

Engineering Responsibilities:

  • Design and build scalable, well-structured, and robust APIs, libraries, and services to integrate blockchains and staking capabilities into custody platforms.
  • Assume ownership of functionalities and scalability features from conception to deployment.
  • Create integration libraries and SDKs for seamless server and API interaction.
  • Document and expose functions to UI, third-party developers, and internal/external tools.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams and product managers to ensure consistent work quality and a unified understanding of technical requirements.

Mentorship and Collaboration:

  • Guide peers across the broader engineering team through mentorship, fostering growth via code reviews and best practice education.

Skills & Experience:

Required:

  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in back-end, server-side software development.

  • Experienced in Git/GitHub, branching methodologies, code review tools, and CI tools.
