The Strategic Finance team at Anchorage Digital is an essential catalyst for driving growth and operational efficiency. As a Strategic Finance Lead, the chosen individual will contribute significantly to defining and accomplishing aggressive growth targets within the evolving digital asset landscape. The role entails developing financial frameworks, conducting refined analyses on revenue growth drivers, per unit economics, as well as understanding market dynamics and industry trends. Additionally, they will be responsible for presenting data-driven recommendations to senior leadership regarding strategic investment decisions. This position is high profile, with the opportunity to have a direct impact on Anchorage’s overall growth trajectory by closely working with the Head of Strategic Finance and other key stakeholders throughout the organization.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Financial Modeling & Analysis: Creating and managing elaborate financial models to support decision-making processes concerning resource investments, price strategies, and operational efficiencies. Analyzing unit economics, cost optimization, revenue drivers, and growth prospects.
Strategic Planning & Resource Allocation: Overseeing strategic and financial planning activities primarily for the Custody business and new product lines. Building robust financial models, conducting scenario planning, and offering data-centric advice on resource distribution to meet ambitious growth goals.
Growth & Performance Management: Collaborating with business leaders to define key performance indicators (KPIs), monitor performance against set goals, and identify areas for enhancement. Analyzing market trends, competitive landscapes, and internal performance data for valuable strategic insights.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Establishing solid relationships and collaborating efficiently with diverse teams like Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Operations. Serving as a trusted financial advisor to business leaders to offer valuable insights.
Go-to-Market Strategy & Pricing: Working closely with the Head of Revenue and Go-to-Market teams to formulate pricing strategies, assess new market opportunities, and enhance deal structures. Providing financial expertise to support effective Go-to-Market execution and revenue maximization.
Executive Communication & Reporting: Preparing impactful presentations and reports for executive leadership and the Board of Directors. Effectively communicating key financial insights, strategic recommendations, and performance updates.
Qualifications for the Role:
- 8+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, or strategic finance, with a preference for candidates from the technology or financial services industry.
- Proficient in financial modeling skills and building complex financial projections. Essential expertise in spreadsheet and financial planning software.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill large datasets into actionable insights.
- Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, capable of translating complex financial information for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Curiosity and passion for the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry.
Additional Skills (not mandatory but advantageous):
- MBA or any other relevant advanced degree.
- Experience within the cryptocurrency or fintech sector.
- Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with Netsuite, Pigment, and Salesforce.
