The role of Head of Arbitrage involves overseeing all trading activities within the Arbitrage book, leading a team of traders, and ensuring the implementation of strategies aligned with the company's goals. This position demands robust leadership abilities, a deep comprehension of financial markets, and the capability to cultivate a collaborative, high-achieving culture.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a major trading book during Asian hours, addressing operational and trading issues in real-time
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 6-8 traders, overseeing the entire Arbitrage desk, including risk management and optimization of trading performance
• Continually seek additional edges through thorough analysis of trading and market trends
• Collaborate closely with global trading and middle office teams to ensure accurate trade booking and reconciliation between front and back office systems
• Interface with key exchange counterparts on margin requirements, coin borrows, trade discrepancies, technical matters, and market making needs
• Drive enhancements to existing trading strategies while researching, developing, and implementing new strategies
• Generate ideas, formulate strategies, conduct back-testing, and implement improvements
• Address complex pricing issues related to cryptocurrency derivatives
• Design models and tools for automating daily tasks
• Devise and utilize proprietary back-testing and simulation tools
• Evaluate cryptocurrency market products, organizing and analyzing solutions to match various trading requirements

Requirements

• Seeking skilled traders with a background in high-frequency trading and strong quantitative skills focusing on probabilities and expected value
• Experience in designing, developing, testing, and coding trading strategies
• Managerial experience overseeing a team of traders in a dynamic setting
• Comfortable assisting in the design, development, and enhancement of complex risk management systems
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or other relevant coding languages
• Hold a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Math, Computer Science, Statistics, Quantitative Sciences, Engineering, or related fields
