Tech Lead (Content, Social & Live Streaming)

Responsibilities:

• Lead the Content, Social & Live Streaming platform, overseeing various business functions such as social content management, video streaming, audio rooms, and interactive commerce mechanics, guaranteeing seamless execution and ongoing evolution in engineering.

• Take charge of the overall technical architecture and engineering foundation, directing development of scalable and operable mobile and web clients, server-side systems, and live streaming integration, while driving platform-oriented growth.

• Establish consistent cross-platform UX standards and cooperate closely with Product, Design, and Operations to enhance key experience metrics and drive continuous improvement through data-driven insights and experiments.

• Define integration strategies for third-party audio/video capabilities, ensuring clear boundaries, integration specifications, and proper versioning procedures to maintain business continuity and control over platform solutions.

• Develop end-to-end reliability and observability systems focused on user experiences, define performance metrics, lead incident response protocols, and continuous improvement processes to minimize streaming failures' impact on user interaction.

• Recruit and manage the engineering team, instill R&D processes, and quality gates to enhance delivery efficiency and maintain engineering quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Over 8 years of experience in internet/content/social/live streaming product development, with a minimum of 3 years in technical team management.

• Proficiency in live/real-time interactive systems' technical challenges, encompassing low-latency pipelines, network issues, and concurrency management.

• Comprehensive understanding of cross-platform system design and performance optimization, full-stack development, and content recommendation mechanisms.

• Capability to bridge business goals with technical execution, fostering collaboration with Product and Design teams.

• Demonstrated expertise in reliability engineering methodologies, monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement measures.

• Strong communication and decision-making skills to drive collaboration and technical execution in diverse team environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with large-scale social/live streaming platforms, internationalization strategies, and business-oriented cost optimization.

• Strong industry network in the live streaming/social/real-time interaction space to support team building and partnerships.
