We are currently expanding our crypto ecosystem for institutional clients, focusing on trading, lending, custody, staking, and DeFi services. As part of this growth, we are seeking a Tech Lead to join our Development Community based in Singapore. The individual will play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge software systems to meet the evolving demands of the cryptocurrency and blockchain sectors.
Since 2017, Blockchain.com has successfully operated an Institutional business, establishing key partnerships with leading industry players. Our services encompass lending, OTC and electronic trading, custody, asset management funds, and various financial products to cater to the institutional needs of the crypto space.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the team of SREs and developers based in Singapore, responsible for delivering a top-tier user experience on our Institutional platform.
- Collaborate with Engineers to develop innovative software solutions to support our global crypto institutional businesses and operations.
- Act as a bridge between the engineering teams in the UK and Singapore, promoting effective communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Play a pivotal role in planning, designing, and implementing high-performance solutions in adherence to company standards and best practices.
- Mentor and foster the growth of the engineering team while enhancing their skills and capabilities.
- Drive delivery efficiency and quality by making strategic infrastructure and process investments.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, trading, and middle office teams to shape the institutional product roadmap and provide guidance on architecture, system design, and technical strategies.
- Serve as a hands-on manager, offering inspiration, management, and constructive feedback to direct reports.
- Provide SRE support including troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues as required.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team of engineers, encompassing SREs and developers.
- Strong technical expertise in SRE practices, infrastructure management, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), CI/CD, databases (preferably MySQL and/or PostgreSql), and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
- Proficiency in Python with hands-on troubleshooting capabilities.
- Previous experience in leadership, management, and coaching, particularly as an engineering manager.
- Track record of building, launching, and scaling consumer-facing software products with successful product launches.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of security practices and ensuring user safety.
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and short release cycles.
- A passion for nurturing a collaborative and innovative team culture in a fast-paced industry.
