Technical Project Manager, Web3 Infrastructure

As a member of the global remote team at ChainSafe, you will join a community-centric group dedicated to advancing open-source and decentralized technologies to benefit humanity. The team values collaboration, agile principles, and empowering individuals and teams to drive innovation.

Key points to note include:

• Utilization of tech stack comprising Go, Rust, and TypeScript.
• Spearheading ecosystem projects like Lodestar, Web3.js, Forest, and Gossamer.
• Adherence to engineering principles outlined within the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the setup and continuous operations of new blockchain infrastructure featuring web3 Gaming.
• Act as the main point of contact with partners for alignment on expectations and roadmaps, status updates, priorities, and service quality.
• Collaborate with Engineers to identify and enhance infrastructure needs such as scaling solutions, business continuity, monitoring and metrics, and incident response procedures.
• Liaise with third-party vendors and game studios on deployments to the chain and strategies for supporting the chain.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the project, its goals, dependencies, risks, and opportunities to keep the team informed.
• Facilitate communication among teams and lead project management rituals like stand-up meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Proactively address issues to minimize impact on client satisfaction, team morale, or service quality.
• Foster a positive work environment promoting respect, empowerment, and work-life balance.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager or Product Owner of infrastructure services.
• Strong grasp of DevOps culture and experience in running 24x7 infrastructure services.
• At least 2 years of experience in Web3 technologies.
• Familiarity with IT Operations processes like incident management, problem management, and risk management.
• High service orientation and problem-solving skills to address stakeholder needs effectively.
• Proficiency in Agile culture, Scrum, Kanban, and team management.
• Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity through collaboration and strategic decision-making.
• Strong organizational skills, responsiveness, and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience in software development or system engineering.
• Work experience with open-source software.
