Job Scope

The primary focus of this position is to offer advice to partners and companies on token economy design at Animoca Brands, aiming to become the signature expert in Tokenomics. You will play a crucial role in leading the shift of brands towards Web 3.0.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a key member of the Tokenomics team collaborating with internal and external companies concerning token economy design by identifying key stakeholders and their "sinks" and "faucets," conceptualizing token utility, governance, and security, modelling token allocation, distribution, and vesting schedules, and contributing to litepapers/whitepapers.
• Collaborate with various teams including Listing, Engineering, Treasury, and Game Development to ensure successful implementation of token economies.
• Support and improve the existing token economies of Animoca Brands to sustain growth and viability.
• Identify potential partnerships within Animoca Brands' ecosystem and facilitate suitable introductions.
• Conduct research on diverse token economies to remain updated with the latest trends and support the team with factual information.
• Assist in developing best practices and enhancing internal procedures to expand the Tokenomics team efficiently.

Requirements / Skill Sets:

• Possess a Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative/research field.
• Demonstrate deep interest and expertise in Web 3.0, particularly in crypto, NFTs, and DAOs.
• Prior experience in designing token economies or drafting litepapers/whitepapers, though not mandatory, is highly advantageous.
• Proficient in modeling, comfortable with developing complex spreadsheets/simulations or computer models, though not obligatory, is preferred.
• Self-motivated, quick learner with excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
