Description

In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing risk management, P&L monitoring, and operational controls for trading desks. The role involves gaining a comprehensive understanding of the trade life cycle and operational procedures at each stage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring trading risk in real-time, including risk, P&L, and funding utilization.
  • Providing oversight on various risks such as market risk, funding risk, counterparty credit risk, and operational risk related to trading.
  • Validating risk and P&L bookings, conducting reconciliations to ensure accuracy of trading performance data.
  • Collaborating with traders to establish risk parameters, validate models, and conduct stress-testing.
  • Implementing controls for trading risk, booking accuracy, and funding operations through the use of scripts and creating dashboards; developing policies and procedures.
  • Analyzing trading performance, P&L, risk attribution, and preparing management reports.
  • Maintaining close communication with traders, operations, finance teams, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field; professional certifications like CPA, CFA, or FRM are advantageous.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantitative trading firms, investment banks, or hedge funds in roles such as Trading Support, Product Control, Market Risk Management, or Risk Strategies.
  • Hands-on experience in developing risk management processes and tools.
  • Profound knowledge of financial products, with familiarity in crypto products considered a strong asset.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Strong analytical abilities and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to take ownership of projects, driving initiatives from inception to completion.
  • Enthusiasm for cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies.
