The Transformer Maintenance Coordinator will have a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating the maintenance of transformers used in CleanSpark’s mining operations. This position is integral for ensuring the effectiveness and reliability of the power infrastructure to support optimized mining activities. The ideal candidate should have a solid grasp of electrical systems, preventative maintenance best practices, and vendor management.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance Planning & Coordination: Schedule, organize, and monitor routine maintenance and repair tasks for transformers at all mining facilities to guarantee optimal performance.
- Inspections & Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections on transformers to detect potential issues proactively and ensure maintenance activities comply with safety and quality standards.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to procure parts, obtain quotes, and schedule services while maintaining high-quality maintenance support.
- Inventory Management: Manage an inventory of critical transformer components, spare parts, and tools for prompt responses to maintenance requirements.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain precise records of maintenance activities, including schedules, reports, and corrective actions. Provide regular maintenance reports to management.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all transformer maintenance activities adhere to safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancing transformer maintenance practices, reducing costs, and improving operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related fields. Relevant certifications in transformer maintenance are beneficial.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical systems maintenance, particularly in managing transformers or similar high-voltage equipment.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in transformer operation, maintenance protocols, and electrical safety standards.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and external partners.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Proficient in troubleshooting technical issues promptly to prevent downtime.
- Physical Requirements: Capable of working in environments with noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Travel: Willingness to travel to CleanSpark sites as needed.
