Web/App Test Engineer

Role Overview

Responsible for overseeing quality assurance for both Web and App platforms, utilizing a combination of automated and exploratory testing to ensure product stability and optimal user experience. Primary focus on cross-platform testing capabilities, including designing and maintaining automated testing systems to enhance product quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain extensive Web/App test cases and plans to test functionality, compatibility, and user interaction.
• Develop and manage UI/API automated tests using Java, Python, or JavaScript to ensure comprehensive coverage and reliability.
• Employ both automation and manual exploratory testing methods to validate user scenarios and identify potential experience issues.
• Perform root cause analysis on test failures and product issues, driving solutions to resolution.
• Identify and address gaps in test coverage to enhance automation effectiveness continually.
• Participate in testing for new features by defining expected behaviors and evaluating system impact and risks from a user-experience standpoint.
• Conduct App compatibility testing across various devices, OS versions, and screen sizes, as well as Web cross-browser and resolution testing.
• Engage in performance testing activities to ensure stability in high-concurrency and weak-network scenarios.

Requirements

• Proficiency in coding with Java, Python, or JavaScript, with capability demonstrated through a live coding assessment.
• Extensive experience in Web/App automation testing using tools such as Selenium, Appium, or Playwright.
• Strong grasp of Web/App testing methodologies and automation framework design.
• Proficiency in SQL for data validation and issue troubleshooting.
• Proven capability in root cause analysis to resolve complex quality problems.
• Familiarity with front-end Web technologies (HTML/CSS/JS) and mobile platform fundamentals (Android/iOS architecture).
• Experience in building testing tools, platforms, or quality infrastructure.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Background:

• 1–5 years of QA or test development experience, including a minimum of 1 year in Web or App automation testing.
• Strong coding skills, with the ability to develop code independently.
• Proficient in SQL for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience in mobile or Web testing.

• Automation expertise in designing and developing automation frameworks.
• Proficiency in root cause analysis to identify and address testing issues effectively.
• Strong skills in SQL and data validation for ensuring data consistency and resolving data-related bugs.

• Previous experience in payment, transaction, or financial systems QA.
• Experience in AI tool usage.
• Background in the crypto/Web3 industry.
• App compatibility testing using cloud platforms like Testin or WeTest.
• Experience with weak-network testing tools such as Charles or Fiddler.
