Description
Responsibilities:
- Utilizing computer-based techniques such as 3D modeling, texture mapping, and other methods to create graphics, visual effects, and animations.
- Collaborating with other artists, including animators, and participating in meetings to discuss ongoing projects.
- Understanding project requirements and generating creative ideas.
- Creating storyboards to visualize scenes and construct realistic environments for movies, games, and other visual outputs.
- Receiving feedback and critiques from directors, animators, designers, and clients, and making necessary adjustments based on received comments.
- Evaluating existing 3D arts and suggesting enhancements.
- Developing 3D sculpts and assets that meet artistic standards.
- Troubleshooting any issues that might arise during project development.
- Convening with clients, designers, and directors to discuss and review project progress and ensure deadlines are met.
Requirements:
- Possession of a certificate, associate's degree, or bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field.
- Proficiency in biology is necessary for 3D artists specializing in medical illustration.
- A well-developed portfolio showcasing previous work and completed projects.
- Strong working knowledge of industry-standard software, including 3ds Max, V-Ray, SketchUp, and Maya.
- Showcases excellent creativity and artistic skills.
- Keen eye for composition, realism, texture, color, and lighting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Excellent time management abilities.
- Willingness to stay updated on the latest advancements in creative software and hardware.
