Joining Wintermute

We seek an Algorithmic Trader Intern possessing adept coding skills in Python and a keen interest in high-frequency trading, market making, and crypto trading mechanisms. In this role, you will collaborate closely with seasoned traders and developers, including the founder/management team, on intriguing projects. The role grants a substantial degree of autonomy and responsibility from the outset, enabling unparalleled learning opportunities. You will not encounter legacy systems, corporate red tape, or layers of approvals. Your capacity to influence outcomes will be substantial, guided by incentives perfectly aligned with the company's objectives.

Responsibilities

Your tasks may entail enhancing existing strategies, introducing new trading products, and refining the technological infrastructure supporting trading activities. An essential aspect involves the extensive analysis of trading and transaction data, drawing insights, prioritizing them, and constructing solutions based on your discoveries. During interviews, further technical particulars will be provided. The pivotal aspect here is that the sky is the limit, unhindered by predefined constraints.

We are seeking individuals equipped with robust quantitative and coding skills, understanding that this is primarily a business/trading-oriented role as opposed to a strictly Quant/research function.

Required Skills

• Proficient Python skills with 1-3 years of experience in Python coding, verified through professional, educational, or personal projects
• Exceptional quantitative and analytical acumen
• Trading expertise is not compulsory, but possessing a strong desire and inquisitiveness to grasp algorithmic, high-frequency, quantitative, and market making trading methods is pivotal
