AML/Regulatory Analyst

We are in search of an AML analyst to bolster our compliance efforts in Mexico and across all global regions, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies to uphold continuous compliance standards.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the main contact point for reporting to public authorities and regulators,
• Generate documentation in alignment with local regulations and global departmental policies,
• Evaluate and manage cases within specified SLAs, advising stakeholders on necessary actions,
• Escalate cases requiring further attention to the team lead and MLROs,
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance the quality of AML reporting and ensure accuracy and consistency,
• Lead initiatives to optimize KYC/KYB and EDD processes,
• Possess a strong grasp of local laws, directives, and regulations relevant to the company’s operations,
• Engage in internal and external programs related to AML/CFT and other pertinent topics,
• Carry out general administrative tasks associated with the outlined functions as required by the business.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience,
• 3-4+ years of AML compliance experience in financial institutions, government agencies, or fintech companies,
• Proficient knowledge of Mexican cryptocurrency/fintech legislation, reporting, and regulatory mandates,
• Understanding of the cryptocurrency industry,
• Excellent written and verbal English proficiency,
• Self-motivated with strong time management skills and flexibility in work hours,
• Proficiency in Advanced Excel (knowledge of other data management analytics tools like SQL, Python is a plus),
• Detail-oriented, controls mindset, effective multitasking and working under pressure,
• Collaborative abilities with an international team of professionals.
