Backend Engineer
At Mirror, our aim is to support creative communities with web3-native products that are both visually appealing and user-friendly. We are a dedicated and experienced team that has been deeply involved in this field for many years. Currently, we are expanding our team in New York City to focus on a new web3 social product, with the support of leading web3 investors.
About You:
We are seeking an adept backend engineer with a solid record of delivering products and adapting to complex situations. You should have a strong interest in engineering practices and strive to enhance your skills alongside collaborative colleagues. This role requires you to be able to work in-person at our New York City office on a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement our product roadmap
- Explore and assess web3 technologies, making informed decisions on utilizing third-party APIs or developing in-house solutions
- Collaborate with frontend engineers to build features on our GraphQL API
- Develop robust and well-monitored backend services
- Continuously enhance infrastructure and monitoring practices
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in production software development (knowledge of web3 is a plus)
- Proven experience in building and maintaining large-scale production systems
- Capable of proactively proposing and implementing technical solutions to complex business challenges
- Dedication to enhancing dev-ops practices for yourself and your team
- Proficiency in Typescript, Node.js, and AWS
Nice to Have:
- Experience working closely with product teams and users
- Noteworthy open-source contributions or publicly available code
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Posthog, NewRelic, ElasticSearch, etc.
- Prior exposure to web3 technologies
Salary Range:
$200,000 - $250,000 (depending on experience)
