Backend Engineer - Blockchain Security

As a Backend Engineer specializing in Blockchain Security at Binance, your primary focus will be ensuring the security of blockchain projects within the BNB Smart Chain (BSC) and other related chains. This role presents a unique chance to contribute to the blockchain sector and support the wider blockchain community.

You will collaborate closely with a diverse and talented team at Binance, working at the forefront of the cryptocurrency industry to uphold security standards across multiple projects and systems. Additionally, you will liaise with different teams beyond just the security department, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the cryptocurrency landscape.

Responsibilities:

• Lead security-oriented product planning, design, and technical road-map development.
• Establish architecture standards, maintain underlying infrastructure, and develop tools for automation.
• Engage with end-users to capture requirements, develop necessary APIs, and maintain customer relationships.
• Resolve technical issues within backend systems to ensure system performance and stability.
• Conduct performance tuning, troubleshooting, and system refactoring to optimize product speed and scale.
• Architect and build libraries and frameworks that enhance internal client development efficiency and code quality.

Requirements:

• Pursuing or holding a bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or similar field.
• Minimum 4-5 years of full stack development experience, with a preference for 2-3 years in Crypto or Security domains.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, Go, or similar programming languages.
• Familiarity with mainstream development frameworks and distributed system components.
• Skilled in independent system design, especially in developing large-scale, highly concurrent, and high-availability systems.
• Business acumen, capable of identifying and solving issues in business requirements and system architecture.
• Strong communication and coordination skills, adept at learning new concepts swiftly.

Nice to Have:

• Experience within Web3 security firms and in developing large-scale API/Monitoring systems.
• Exposure to risk control products and relevant expertise in risk control API development.
• Understanding of Smart Contract security vulnerabilities and blockchain principles.
• Familiarity with various types of hacks on wallets and smart contracts.
