Backend Engineer E3 - Wallet Core

We are a leading provider of digital asset solutions, focusing on custody, wallets, staking, trading, financing, and settlement services with regulated cold storage. Our mission is to enable clients to securely navigate the digital asset landscape. BitGo serves institutions globally, including top brands, exchanges, platforms, and retail investors. As pioneers in the digital economy, we handle a significant portion of Bitcoin network transactions and are the largest independent digital asset custodian and staking provider globally.

We are currently seeking a Backend Engineer E3 to join our team in Bangalore, India.

Responsibilities:

• Develop robust APIs, libraries, and services to support our wallet services, indexing, staking, SDK services, and more.
• Assume ownership of functionality and scalability features from inception to customer integration.
• Enhance internal workflows by implementing tools to improve client services.
• Focus on security measures to ensure the safety of Bitcoin held in custody.
• Work closely with engineering teams to maintain consistency in technical understanding and work quality.
• Mentor peers in the engineering team through code reviews and best practice education.
• Liaise with stakeholders across different locations, potentially requiring coordination with global teams.

Skills & Experience:

Required:

• Minimum 6 years of experience in back-end, server-side software development.
• Proficiency in algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
• Strong skills in Node.JS/TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Experience in RESTful API design and Git/GitHub.
• Fluent in spoken English.
• Familiarity with branching methodologies, code review tools, CI tools, JIRA, Confluence, etc.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical discipline from a reputable university.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of Bitcoin or centralized financial industry workings.
• Interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.
