Backend Operations Support Engineer (Card) - Day/Night Shift

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our dynamic team that focuses on designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing software for a variety of venture projects, fast-tracked with a lean team approach. As a member of our team, you will play a key role in designing scalable applications, encompassing components from frontend UI to backend infrastructure.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities:**

1. **Operation Development and Testing:**
   - Analyze requirements, partake in system design, and contribute to development within the technical team.
   - Establish and refine integration tests to ensure software reliability.
   - Foster close relationships with various operation teams to enhance operational efficiencies.

2. **Customer Support and Problem Resolution:**
   - Serve as the primary technical contact for addressing issues in the live [Crypto.com] Card project. This involves troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementing effective solutions.
   - Actively engage with the CS team to tackle user-submitted issues promptly and comprehensively.
   - Demonstrate a deep understanding of all services related to derivs trading to identify and address problems efficiently.

3. **System Reliability and Maintenance:**
   - Collaborate with the SRE team to implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms, identifying potential issues early to prevent system failures.
   - Provide plans for system upgrades and optimizations to boost performance and reliability.
   - Coordinate with various teams to minimize downtime and user impact in case of system failures.

4. **Timezone & Shift:**
   - Ready to work flexible shifts covering Asia and EST timezones, day/night shifts based on operational needs.

**Requirements:**
- Knowledge of payment card domain.
- Experience in DevOps, especially with AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in a Linux environment and support tools.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging systems.
- Knowledge of GitOps with ArgoCD is advantageous.
- Skills in shell scripting, Ruby, Golang, and SQL are beneficial.
- Strong analytical skills to proactively identify issues.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin; Cantonese is a plus.
- Positive and proactive mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
