Backend Production Support Engineer - Equities, MainApp
Our team focuses on designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing software for various ventures projects adjacent to our core businesses. These projects are fast-growing and operated with a lean team. As a member of our team, you will play an active role in designing various components for scalable applications, spanning from frontend UI to backend infrastructure.
Job Responsibility:
1. Technical Development and Testing
Engage in requirements analysis, system design, and contribute to the development work within the technical team.
Write and refine integration tests for software robustness and reliability.
Cultivate strong relationships with different operational teams for continuous improvement in operational efficiency.
2. Customer Support and Problem Resolution
Serve as the primary technical contact for addressing issues within the trading project, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementing effective solutions.
Participate in daily support tasks, receive and handle user issues promptly, and ensure quick resolution.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of all facets related to derivative trading to swiftly address and resolve problems encountered by users.
Organize encountered issues, convert them into business requirements, and work with the Project Manager and developers to enhance our products.
3. System Reliability and Maintenance
Collaborate with the SRE team to establish monitoring and alerting mechanisms, identify potential issues early on, and prevent system failures.
Propose system upgrade and optimization plans to boost performance and reliability.
Coordinate with various teams during system failures to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
4. Working and Interview Language: English
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in application or technical support.
- Proficiency in shell scripting, Ruby, Golang, and SQL technologies.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging systems like Datadog, Sumologic, OpenTelemetry.
- Strong analytical skills with a proactive issue identification approach.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and ability to multitask.
- Solution-oriented mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin.
Additional Abilities Considered a Plus:
- Experience in equity trading platforms and equity-related knowledge.
- Technical support experience in banking or financial sectors.
- Experience in DevOps, particularly AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in a Linux environment and support tools.
- Experience in development or relevant Site Reliability Engineering experience.
