Blockchain Application Support Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Primary responsibilities include ensuring continuous operation of the application in Production.
• Management of non-production environments like pre-production/staging.
• In-depth understanding of application features and all supported blockchains.
• Collaboration with both application and infrastructure engineers to ensure a thorough comprehension of changes heading to production environments.
• Proficiency in implementing fixes, enhancements, or optimizations on applications and infrastructure.
• Immediate identification of delivery-related issues that could affect production uptime, scalability, or responsiveness.
• Monitoring, troubleshooting, and handling application alerts and issues.
• Incident and problem management, with post-resolution follow-ups to ensure satisfactory resolution.
• Constant improvement of monitoring tools and processes.
• Coordination of Disaster Recovery testing and audits.
• Maintenance and support of blockchain infrastructure (familiarity with DevOps advantageous).
• Senior roles involve engaging with stakeholders on application issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Rust, Javascript, Node.js, or Golang.
• Prior experience in supporting applications.
• Detail-oriented with an analytical mindset.
• Proficient in analyzing logs and adept at detecting anomalies and inconsistencies.
• Strong curiosity and ability to pinpoint problems or root causes, then effectively communicate findings to the team.
• Experience in deploying on various cloud platforms (Azure, Google, Amazon).
• Skills in constructing, deploying, and managing monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus).
• Competence in deploying and managing container infrastructures (Kubernetes, docker-compose).
• Capability in building, deploying, and managing logging tools (e.g., Fluentd, ElasticSearch, Kibana).
