Blockchain Security Application Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Primary responsibilities include ensuring the application's continuous operation in the Production environment.
• Oversee non-production environments like pre-production/staging.
• Possess a deep understanding of application features and supported blockchains.
• Collaborate with both application and infrastructure engineers to ensure a clear understanding of changes going into production.
• Implement fixes, optimizations, and enhancements to applications and infrastructure.
• Proactively identify potential issues impacting production uptime, scalability, and responsiveness.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and address application alerts and incidents.
• Manage incident and problem resolution, following up post-resolution to confirm that issues are fully resolved.
• Drive continuous improvement in monitoring tools and processes.
• Lead disaster recovery testing and audits.
• Maintain and support blockchain infrastructure.
• For senior positions, involve stakeholders in addressing application issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Familiarity with blockchain technology and proficiency in programming languages like Rust, JavaScript, or Golang.
• Prior experience supporting applications.
• Strong attention to detail with a penchant for analytical problem-solving.
• Ability to analyze logs effectively, pinpointing anomalies and inconsistencies.
• Inquisitive nature and a knack for root cause analysis, with excellent communication skills to convey findings within the team.
• Experience in deploying across different cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services).
• Proficiency in building, deploying, and maintaining monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
• Experience with deploying and managing container infrastructures like Kubernetes and docker-compose.
• Competence in building, deploying, and maintaining logging tools including Fluentd, ElasticSearch, and Kibana.
• Familiarity with developing and deploying infrastructure as code using tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, and Ansible.
• Understanding of blockchain fundamentals and knowledge of one or more blockchain technologies is advantageous.
• Proficient written communication skills in English.
