Your Role: Circle is in search of a dynamic Business Development Director to join our Financial Partnerships team. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a strong track record in identifying, negotiating, closing, and executing complex transactions within banking and payment structures. This role requires a deep understanding of financial services, particularly in the payments domain, a background or keen interest in Digital Assets, and the ability to cultivate and maintain substantial relationships with key industry stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess potential banking and payments partnerships for Circle's products and services
- Cultivate relationships with regulatory bodies, financial institutions, and industry counterparts
- Collaborate with product and business units to customize services for partners in emerging markets
- Lead negotiations and deal structuring with potential partners
- Develop financial models and forecasts for potential partnerships
- Provide market insights to Circle's leadership for strategic planning
- Execute partnership strategies to drive uptake of current products and explore opportunities for new offerings
- Collaborate with product teams to validate assumptions, construct go-to-market strategies, and forge partnerships with leading ecosystem entities
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of business development experience in payments within the financial services sector
- Proficiency in fintech, cryptocurrency industries, and understanding of market dynamics
- Cross-cultural adeptness and ability to engage across diverse cultural settings
- Strong history of relationship-building, partnership negotiation, and stakeholder management
- Capacity to handle multiple projects independently
- Proficient in English; multilingual skills a bonus
- Knowledge of financial licensing like FINRA Series 7, 63 considered advantageous
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of work time
