CDD Strategic Advisory Specialist

This position is crucial for ensuring the company’s compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements and maintaining best practices for Customer Due Diligence (CDD), both for retail and corporate client onboarding, as well as ongoing due diligence. The individual will collaborate closely with the Global Head of CDD to establish global CDD standards for the organization and work with local team members, such as MLROs, to align on specific CDD requirements tailored to their regions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing global CDD policies and programs, setting standards for retail and corporate services.
• Oversee the global customer risk scoring methodology.
• Contribute to the enhancement of ongoing due diligence processes, such as CDD triggers and refresh procedures.
• Advise local Compliance Officers and MLROs on operational implications of regional requirements.
• Support different teams to enhance operational efficiency and address issues promptly.
• Develop and present periodic reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), project progress, etc. to management and the Board, as necessary.
• Collaborate with Product leadership to devise strategies for global and local CDD improvements.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Compliance staff, promoting skill development and identifying potential talent.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 8 years of CDD experience.
• Possession of CAMS, ACFCS, or other leading industry certifications.
• At least 2 years of management experience.
• Strong knowledge and experience with global CDD requirements.
• Proficiency in implementing customer risk scoring frameworks.
• Deep understanding of Anti-Money Laundering/Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) regulations and sanctions risks.
• Familiarity with global licensing prerequisites related to financial services and crypto-related business operations.
• Experience dealing with complex beneficial ownership structures.
• Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and writing skills.
• Adaptability, open-mindedness, and the ability to thrive in a rapid-paced remote work setting.
