Role Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic Community Fundraising Lead to spearhead community engagement, mobilization, and expansion of community-based funding initiatives. This role will be pivotal in cultivating connections among the organization, its community members, potential investors, and the broader Web3 community. The ideal candidate should have in-depth proficiency in Web3 fundraising, managing decentralized communities, and a successful track record in securing funds through various community-driven models like token launches, grants, and DAOs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a community-led fundraising strategy aligned with project objectives and coordinating with multiple teams.
- Proactively establish and maintain relationships with various investor, grant providers, and strategic partners within the crypto and traditional sectors.
- Foster engagement and support for fundraising pursuits via community platforms such as Discord, Twitter, Telegram, and forums specific to Web3.
- Lead token sales, airdrops, and staking campaigns to incentivize participation and synchronize interests among stakeholders.
- Collaborate with marketing and engineering teams to develop compelling narratives for fundraising efforts and ensure community alignment.
- Oversee grant programs and ecosystem funding initiatives, working closely with DAOs, Layer 1 and Layer 2 entities, and other relevant ecosystem stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines while promoting a decentralized and community-centric fundraising approach.
- Analyze fundraising performance, track key metrics, and refine strategies based on community feedback and market conditions.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in Web3, blockchain, or crypto-native fundraising.
- Demonstrated expertise in community-based fundraising, token sales, and securing grants.
- Profound understanding of DeFi, DAOs, governance structures, and tokenomics.
- Extensive network within the crypto industry, including connections with VCs, angel investors, and ecosystem funds.
- Experience in cultivating and growing online communities on platforms like Discord, Twitter, and Telegram.
- Excellent communication and storytelling abilities to engage diverse Web3 audiences effectively.
- Strong alignment with guiding principles.
- Proficiency in financial modeling techniques and valuation methods used by analysts and investors.
- Familiarity with smart contracts, blockchain protocols, and crypto funding models.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first setup and work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior success in launching token sales, DAOs, or DeFi projects.
- Robust understanding of regulatory frameworks impacting Web3 fundraising.
- Technical background in blockchain development or cryptography.
- Experience handling hackathons, grant programs, or community accelerator projects.
- Past involvement with Open Source Organizations.
- Enthusiasm for Network States / Parallel Societies.
Compensation:
Expected compensation range for this position is $140,000 - $180,000 USD annually, subject to negotiation based on skills and interview evaluation, along with performance bonus incentives. Remuneration can be provided in a mix of fiat/crypto options.
