Responsibilities include:
Reporting to the Assistant General Counsel - Transactions, you will actively support the Business, Business Development, compliance, and vendor management teams in executing commercial transactions and introducing new products in emerging markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with Product, Business, Compliance, and Finance teams, fostering a strong communication channel to address legal aspects of contracts and agreements.
- Structure, negotiate, and draft various types of transactions focusing on fintech, payments, and crypto tech, aligning legal frameworks with business objectives to enhance partnerships and opportunities.
- Contribute to developing contract templates and terms of use to accommodate new services and products and support their expansion.
- Design and implement effective processes, procedures, and metrics to optimize legal service efficacy, including streamlining contract procedures.
- Serve as a resource for contract interpretation and management for business leaders.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant fiscal, payment, and digital currency trends to provide up-to-date compliance advice.
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of practical legal experience, preferably a blend of law firm and in-house exposure, with a focus on drafting and negotiating agreements in fintech and tech sectors.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with diverse teams on strategic partnerships, particularly across Product, Business, and Compliance sectors.
- Proficiency in advising on risk management for technology-driven platforms.
- Passion for financial technology, cryptocurrencies, and blockchains, coupled with strong teamwork, mentorship skills, and a sense of humor.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving environment that requires managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to offer sound legal advice with a practical business-oriented approach, capable of problem-solving while assessing critical risks.
- Autonomous and team-oriented work style, holding a JD from a recognized law school, active bar membership preferred, and proficiency in Google Suite, Slack, and Apple macOS.

- Day-one PERM sponsorship available for eligible candidates
- Compensation based on factors such as experience, skills, and organizational needs
- Compensation Range: $147,500 - $195,000 annually, with a 12.5% annual bonus target
