Cybersecurity DevSecOps Director

Bitcoin Depot is in search of a dynamic individual to join our team as the Cybersecurity DevSecOps Director. This position will be responsible for leading IT Security and IT operations within the organization with a primary focus on implementing and managing security policies, handling incident management, conducting compliance assessments, and overseeing internal IT security audits. The role also entails managing Bitcoin Depot IT operations, including Cloud infrastructure and desktop support. This is a remote position.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the security and confidentiality of all business information.
• Collaborate with Policy and Compliance to establish and maintain IT systems complying with governmental requirements.
• Conduct regular internal and external scans and audits to address identified security issues.
• Oversee Infrastructure Security and reinforce network per IT policy.
• Investigate security breaches, determine root causes, and mitigate issues.
• Participate in architecture reviews and provide security clearances.
• Execute security incident policy and response plans.
• Perform quarterly security assessment reviews.
• Assess third-party vendor security protocols.
• Manage and update perimeter defense systems.
• Administer security awareness training.
• Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA, and consumer protection laws.
• Coordinate with different teams to meet security objectives.

Requirements:

• Experience securing Linux/Windows Server environments.
• Proficiency in managing AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Skilled in securing Docker containers and Microservices.
• Strong background in forensic investigations of networintrusions/breaches.
• Hands-on experience with Fortinet or Cisco networking systems, Fortinet preferred.
• Previous collaboration with third-party vendors and offshore teams.
• Familiarity with Jira ticketing system.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Over 5 years of managerial experience.
• More than 5 years of Cybersecurity, DevOps, and DevSecOps experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
• Certified Ethical Hacker accreditation.
• Knowledge of NIST/ISO 27001 security frameworks.
• Past experience in FinTech and Cryptocurrency sectors.
