The DeFi team at Wintermute is constantly seeking talented individuals to join its ranks, whether they are developers or traders. The primary focus revolves around aiding in the development and maintenance of the systems underpinning our on-chain activities. This role entails both formulating and implementing trading strategies and creating the essential microservices and backend infrastructure driving the trading engine.
Our trading activities revolve heavily around technology, with traders assuming the role of programmatic problem solvers. Similar to the prevalent ethos within the industry, this position necessitates versatility, requiring you to operate across various code bases in different languages while exploring the frontiers of the design space. The collaborative nature of our team ensures that you will closely collaborate with experienced traders and developers who will mentor you on enhancing and contributing to our systems. Team members are encouraged to refine their individual narratives, challenge each other, and explore novel domains collectively.
Key Requirements:
- Proficient in programming with Python, Rust, or Go
- Comfortable operating in Linux environments and utilizing Git for version control
- Proficiency in programmatic statistical analysis and possess quantitative/analytical skills
- In-depth knowledge of high-frequency market making strategies
- Understanding of blockchain fundamentals and the mechanics of the EVM
- Familiarity with smart contract development and the Foundry toolkit
- A deep interest in learning about protocol microstructure and design mechanisms
