Role Overview

Wintermute is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their Liquidity Integration team in New York. The Liquidity team globally supports Wintermute's OTC platform, catering to numerous counterparties trading via API and Wintermute NODE platform. The role entails managing efficient integration and support processes and providing operational support throughout counterparties' lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee production stability and incident response for the OTC Trading platform during US market hours.
• Onboard and support counterparties integrating via FIX-API into the platform.
• Manage the counterparty integration pipeline, facilitating efficient progression from testing to production.
• Guide counterparties through the FIX conformance testing process to meet platform requirements.
• Gather feedback on API usability, integration performance, and onboarding experience to drive product and engineering enhancements.
• Act as the primary point of contact for platform incidents, deploying timely communication during outages.
• Conduct triage, mitigation, and root-cause analysis of production issues swiftly.
• Collaborate with global DevOps teams in London and Singapore.
• Enhance monitoring, alerting, and observability across trading systems.
• Support smooth deployments and releases across the trading platform.
• Automate operational workflows and contribute to operational best practices.

Required Experience and Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or SRE roles.
• Proficiency in FIX protocol, SQL, Python scripting, and Linux production environments.
• Strong experience with low-latency or high-availability systems.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like Grafana.
• Excellent communication skills for working across a globally distributed team.

Preferred Experience:

• Supporting trading platforms, financial systems, or crypto/OTC markets.
• Familiarity with FIX, market connectivity, or exchange integrations.
• Automation scripting using Python.
