About The Role
The Director, Capital Markets position reports to the Head of Capital Markets and plays a vital role in supporting the growth of Figure Lending and its strategic initiatives in capital markets. Responsibilities include overseeing various capital markets projects such as Figure Connect Marketplace, managing warehouse facility negotiations and operations, and driving new business development efforts.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams across technology, credit, operations, marketing, legal, compliance, and finance, the Director is instrumental in establishing and maintaining key relationships with internal and external stakeholders to meet the organization's liquidity requirements.
What You’ll Do
Support the Head of Capital Markets in managing the Figure Connect Marketplace, including optimizing resources within Warehouse relationships and expanding product offerings. Collaborate with diverse teams to develop new financial products that align with Figure's vision and enhance market offerings. Leverage blockchain technology to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve processes related to securitization and loan sales. Monitor loan performance in coordination with credit and operations teams, prepare investor updates, and communicate findings with rating agencies and other stakeholders.
What We Look For
Demonstrated experience in mortgage and consumer banking, asset-backed securities, capital markets, and regulatory compliance. Proficiency in financial modeling, Intex, and Bloomberg platforms. A robust network within the financial sector with a focus on institutional investors and consumer and residential loans. Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational capabilities, and effective leadership traits. Minimum of 5 years of experience in ABS issuance, investment banking, or the buy-side sector. A proactive and solutions-oriented approach, coupled with a keen interest in leveraging technology to transform financial services.
