Director, Institutional Sales
The institutional sales team offers an exciting opportunity for individuals to take charge and develop their institutional/high net worth client base. This role involves guiding clients from initial onboarding to their first crypto instrument, and creating unique cryptocurrency products tailored to client needs. If part of the operations team, you will collaborate with various stakeholders like sales traders, account managers, and sales managers to enhance and expand the company's infrastructure.

- As a proactive "builder" who values autonomy, you will work closely with global product teams to innovate and introduce groundbreaking solutions, spanning areas such as credit, custody, and specialized trading instruments.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Conversion: Identify, approach, and onboard institutional prospects, such as proprietary trading funds, hedge funds, asset managers, and family offices.
- Consultative Selling: Gain in-depth insight into client needs to showcase the full company's offerings, including the Exchange, OTC desk, Custody solutions, and Crypto-as-a-Service.
- Product Innovation: Identify market gaps and collaborate internally to launch new institutional-grade products, like lending and prime brokerage.
- Market Ambassadorship: Represent the company at industry events to elevate brand presence and expand institutional reach.
- Full Deal Lifecycle: Oversee the entire sales process, from initial contact to finalizing intricate partnership agreements.
- Retention & Feedback: Maintain strong relationships with clients to gather feedback for continuous product enhancement.
- Competitive Intelligence: Stay abreast of market trends and competitor movements to ensure the company's offerings remain competitive.
Job Requirements
- Seniority: Minimum 7 years in Institutional Sales or Business Development in a dynamic financial environment.
- Crypto Expertise: Over 5 years focusing on digital assets/Web3, specifically outbound sales for Exchanges, Custodians, or Prime Brokers.
- Industry Network: Extensive network across hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, banks, asset managers, and OTC desks.
- Strategic Execution: Proven track record of establishing and growing institutional relationships, driving revenue and volume.
- Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of institutional products, including OTC flows, API trading, and custodial architecture.
- Communication: Strong communication skills to articulate complex financial concepts to senior executives.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: Ability to adapt in a fast-paced regulatory environment, focused on achieving key performance indicators like Revenue, Volume, and Onboarding.
