Director of Engineering - Go Network

BitGo is seeking an adept Director of Engineering to lead the Go Network Engineering division in enhancing the scalability and capabilities of the settlement network. While this role does not involve coding directly, the Director of Engineering is expected to be intricately involved with the technical aspects of the team's work.

The role offers flexibility, with one day per week working from the office in Palo Alto while permitting remote work for the remaining days of the week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Spearhead the growth of BitGo's Go Network business verticals
• Collaborate with Product, Trust, Compliance, and other key stakeholders to establish the product and technical direction and roadmap for Go Network, ensuring successful execution
• Mentor engineering managers to foster the development of senior engineering leaders within BitGo
• Cultivate a company-wide engineering culture that embodies values of open communication, collaboration, accountability, craftsmanship, and a client-centric approach

Requirements:

• 14+ years of software engineering experience with at least 6 years in a managerial role and 2+ years as a leader of managers
• Prior exposure to the cryptocurrency space, either professionally or personally, or a keen interest in the field
• Demonstrated success in onboarding to a new organization as a manager or director
• Proven track record in recruiting and hiring top-tier engineering talent, including managerial positions
• Successful leadership of engineering-wide initiatives
• Proven ability to collaborate with product teams to formulate product roadmaps
• Proficient stakeholder management skills, particularly with business stakeholders
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on experience level and location, the average compensation for this role falls in the range of $205k to $275k USD base salary, supplemented by equity, an annual performance bonus, and the outlined benefits.
