Summary:

BitGo is seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to spearhead innovation within their Wallets Engineering division. The prime goal is to enhance core wallet technology and deliver superior wallet experiences for customers. This role is more focused on leadership and collaboration, with a technical oversight role involving close engagement with the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create cutting-edge wallet solutions catering to varied clients, from crypto-native firms to Fortune 500 companies.
• Take ownership of the user experience across the wallet platform.
• Work closely with diverse departments such as Product, Marketing, and Sales to define and execute the product and technical vision for Wallets Engineering.
• Coach engineering managers to nurture future senior leaders within the organization.
• Drive a culture of collaboration and accountability throughout the engineering team, aligning with BitGo's core values.

Requirements:

• Over 14 years of software engineering experience, with at least 6 years in a managerial capacity and 2 years leading a managerial team.
• Crypto experience, whether professional or personal, or a keen interest in the sector.
• Proven track record of successful leadership in driving organizational initiatives.
• Experience in sourcing and recruiting top engineering and managerial talent.
• Background in collaborating with the product team to develop product roadmaps.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly effective communication with business stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

Note on Pay Transparency: Depending on location and level, the average compensation for this role ranges from $205k to $275k USD base salary, complemented by equity, an annual performance bonus, and additional benefits tailored to the specific location.
