As the Director of Strategy, you will play an integral role on the leadership team, ensuring Foundry remains a foremost player in bitcoin mining and the blockchain ecosystem. Reporting to the SVP – Head of Mining (Corporate Strategy & Operations), your responsibilities will be structured as follows:

  • Growth Strategy (30%): Identify and pursue business development opportunities, introduce new products/services, develop go-to-market strategies, perform market trend analysis, and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Operational Efficiency Strategies (25%): Assess operational performance, track productivity, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize energy strategies.
  • Corporate Strategy & Operations (20%): Set objectives, mentor a team of 1-5 management analysts, conduct performance reviews, and make personnel decisions.
  • Bitcoin Mining Hardware Portfolio Management (15%): Develop buy, hold, and sell plans based on financial modeling, optimize efficiency through strategic hardware deployment, and relocation across locations.
  • Global Spokesperson & Subject-Matter Expert (10%): Forge industry connections, facilitate partnerships for international expansion strategy, participate in industry conferences, conduct media interviews, and publish thought leadership content.
  • Expected travel to Pittsford, NY headquarters as necessary and occasional local, regional, domestic, and international travel for business development and industry events (~5%-10%).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field, along with five years of experience in cryptocurrency, bitcoin mining, and blockchain.
  • Proven experience in Asian markets or working with clients in Asia.
  • Proficiency in modeling Bitcoin mining economics and fluency in both spoken and written Mandarin.
  • Availability for travel as needed.
