Electrical Procurement Coordinator

Successful candidate sought to fulfill a vital role in obtaining necessary electrical supplies and materials for CleanSpark's building and engineering ventures. Responsible for negotiating and overseeing procurement processes to ensure the construction and engineering teams receive dependable, top-quality, and cost-effective resources. Ideal candidate possesses a robust background in purchasing or procurement, particularly within the electrical or construction sectors, along with proven negotiation abilities.
Core Duties
- Supplier Interaction & Management: Identify, assess, and build connections with electrical component suppliers to fulfill CleanSpark's procurement requirements efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Contract Bargaining: Spearhead negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous terms—incorporating pricing, delivery schedules, and quality standards—aligning with CleanSpark's objectives.
- Market Insight: Regularly perform market analyses to stay updated on pricing trends, material availability, and emerging suppliers within the electrical and construction industries.
- Order Oversight: Prepare and supervise purchase orders, ensuring adherence to CleanSpark's project stipulations and needs.
- Financial Organization: Work collaboratively with the finance team to oversee and control procurement budgets, spotting cost-saving chances and operational enhancements.
- Quality Control: Collaborate with the quality control team to verify procured materials conform to CleanSpark's quality and safety standards, swiftly resolving any arising issues or discrepancies with suppliers.
- Inventory Management: Coordinate with inventory managers to uphold suitable stock levels of critical materials and electrical components, preempting disruptions in supply for ongoing construction and engineering projects.
- Legislation & Documentation: Guarantee procurement processes comply with company guidelines, regulatory mandates, and industry norms. Record all contracts, purchase orders, and supplier communications meticulously.
Prerequisites
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A professional procurement certification (e.g., CPSM, CPP) is advantageous.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years' procurement experience, preferably in the electrical, construction, or engineering fields. Demonstrated proficiency in negotiation and contract oversight.
- Technical Competence: Understanding of electrical components, construction materials, and industry-specific procurement procedures. Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement tools is beneficial.
- Analytical Aptitude: Strong analytical skills required to evaluate pricing trends, supplier dependability, and market dynamics for informed procurement decisions.
- Communication Capability: Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential for robust negotiation and sustaining positive supplier relationships.
- Organization Skills: Robust organization and project management capabilities to handle concurrent projects effectively and meet deadlines consistently.
- Problem-Solving Savvy: Proactive approach to addressing supply chain disruptions and quality concerns promptly and professionally.
- Physical Demands: Ability to travel as necessary to vendor sites, supplier premises, and CleanSpark project sites.
