Duties
- Offering legal counsel and support to the HR department and stakeholders in managing all personnel-related issues, including both contentious and non-contentious matters like daily employment problems, incentives, employee conflicts, grievances, disciplinary actions, performance concerns, procedures, restructuring, and redundancy situations.
- Providing guidance on the investigation and handling of employee misconduct incidents.
- Developing and implementing personnel-related policies and processes.
- Devising and advising on employee incentive programs and benefits, plus drafting, updating, and reviewing employment-related documentation.
- Overseeing global employment projects as a project manager.
- Collaborating with and supervising external legal counsel when necessary.
- Keeping abreast of employment law updates and advising on their implications for the business.
- Leading or participating in training sessions for HR teams on employment law matters.
- Delivering precise legal advice that considers the organization's commercial needs to all stakeholders.
- Assisting in devising and executing legal strategies to mitigate risks while aligning with the business's overarching strategy.
- Working closely with cross-functional and regional teams to offer legal support on a variety of complex and sensitive issues.
- Taking calculated risks within the business context, proposing and implementing solutions for identified problems.
- Administering tasks like billing management, legal contract handling, corporate documents, and other documentation.
Requirements
- A qualified employment lawyer with 3-6 years of experience at a reputable global law firm and/or large multinational firm, encompassing both contentious and non-contentious experience.
- Preference for lawyers qualified in France or the UK.
- Well-versed in advising on employment law across several European regions.
- Demonstrated ability in commercial and legal decision-making (including risk assessment and appropriate advisory skills).
- Strong interpersonal abilities for nurturing relationships with colleagues worldwide.
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Interest in and knowledge of the cryptocurrency sector and its progress.
- Bachelor's or Master of Laws degree from a distinguished law school.
- Full proficiency in English required; fluency in French is an added advantage.
- A team player with a good business outlook who is hands-on and adept at managing intricate projects.
- Capable of formulating innovative solutions for risk management and dispute resolution.
- Excellent skills in legal drafting and interpretation.
